| Aging and Communications Training: (ACT) Project
Training Direct Care Workers about concepts of aging, inter-personal communications, and personal stress management skills.
Project Description:
SPRY is developing a training curriculum based on the current literature on aging, communicating with older adults, and stress management, that is tailored to the assessed needs of direct care workers, their supervisors, and the older adults they serve. Once this curriculum is developed, SPRY will conduct a master training session of 14 well-qualified trainers from throughout the n4a network. These trainers will then be asked to return to their states and train additional workers on the curriculum.
